Description

The strong antiseptic, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties of tea tree oil have found medicinal uses, such as:

  • Treating fungal infections: The antifungal properties of tea trees have been used traditionally as a natural cure for athlete’s foot and nail infections.
  • Clearing acne: Due to its antiseptic properties, tea tree oil can be effective in eliminating acne rash, and other skin problems.
  • Infusion: An infusion of tea tree leaves can help keep the scalp free of dandruff and can be used as a skin toner.
  • Mouthwash: A few drops of tea tree oil can also be diluted in water and used as an herbal mouthwash in order to fight bad breath and dental plaque. This preparation can also be gargled for gingivitis relief.
  • Inhalation: The crushed tea tree leaves can be stepped in hot water, and the vapor can be inhaled in order to relieve sinus problems due to bacteria and viruses.

How To Use

  • For Acne: Mix 2-3 drops of tea tree oil with 1 tsp of coconut oil. Apply the mixture using a cotton ball to the affected acne area. Rinse off after 30 minutes.
  • For Hair: Blend 2-5 drops of tea tree oil with coconut oil and apply it to your scalp, massaging it thoroughly. Alternatively, mix 2-3 drops with your sham- poo for optimal results. After 30 minutes, thoroughly wash your hair.
  • For Face and Body: Add 6-8 drops when using with a scrub, lotion, or cream. Apply the mixture to your face and body for desired effects.
